Dr. Bruce Ware (professor of Christian Theology at Southern Seminary) will be leading us through a week-long intensive course on systematic theology. Classes will be Aug 3-7 from 9am-3pm each day at Honolulu Bible Church. This will be a rich, Scripture saturated course that will help us all understand the great truths about God and ourselves. COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • To gain insight into the centrality and profoundly relevant doctrines of divine creation and providence.
  • To bring about a deeper understanding of our identity and purpose as humans created in the image of God.
  • To grow in our revulsion for sin as we see more fully its ruinous, deceptive and idolatrous character.
  • To appreciate more fully the mystery of God come in human flesh to atone for sin.
  • To enhance our commitment to follow, in joyous obedience, the rightful lordship of Christ over our lives.
  • To bring about ongoing and increasing desires for closer personal relationship with our great God and heart-felt service in His kingdom.
  • To relate truths we uncover in this course to our experience and involvement both in the Church and in the world.
