Even we in Hawaii have lots of questions come up like: "what is TGC?" and "how do I join TGC?" and "Is TGC a denomination?" This blog post by D.A. Carson was in response to certain controversies that came up several years ago, but there are so many great clarifying thoughts about the purpose and nature of TGC. Please take time to read. Of considerable note is a reflection upon what it means to be "boundary-focused" vs "center-focused." TGC is more center-focused. But what that does NOT mean is that TGC is minimalistic in doctrine-- which separates us (them-- after reading this, you will understand why I am not sure if I am supposed to say "us" or "them") from most parachurch organizations.
